The total electricity output of TGC-1 (including its subsidiary JSC “Murmanskaya CHPP”) in 1Q 2010 was 8,180.5 mn kWh. The output for the 1Q 2009 was 7,804.3 mn kWh. The general increase in output is explained by lower temperatures in regions of operation, as well as rebound in electricity consumption.
Electric capacity utilization factor was up from 57.6% in 1Q 2009 to 60% in 1Q of this year.
The heat output (including figures of Murmanskaya CHPP) totaled 12,186.2 thousand GCal, which is 11.2% higher than in 2009 due to colder season. For instance, the average outside temperature in autumn-winter season of 2009-2010 in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region was 4 degrees Celsius below levels of 2008-2009, in Karelia – almost 5 degrees, and in Murmansk region – 2.5 degrees.
