RusHydro was first included in the ranking of the world's 250 largest energy companies - 2010 Top 250 Global Energy Company RankingsTM, compiled by the Platts agency. The company occupies 113th position in the composite ranking and ranks second among the world's 50 most rapidly developing energy companies.
The Platts ranking now features 11 Russian companies, of which nine represent the oil and gas sector. It was the first time for RusHydro to be included among the world's largest energy companies according to the agency. When compiling rankings, Platts uses financial performance of public companies. RusHydro occupies 113th position in the composite ranking, only letting ahead Russia's Gazprom, five largest oil companies and AK Transneft. Oil and gas companies continue to dominate the top of the list, with ExxonMobile still occupying the highest ranking position.
RusHydro ranks second among the 50 the world's most rapidly developing energy companies, just one step behind Ultrapar Participacoes SA, Brazil. This list only features four Russian companies. RusHydro is an absolute leader in the "Europe, Middle East and Africa" region. The company's aggregate 3-year revenue growth index is 77.8%. Despite last year's accident at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, revenue (IFRS) increased by 7% in 2009. In 2010, growth continues: over 9 months the revenue (RAS) were up 10% versus the corresponding period of last year.
