Specialists of Samara Distribution Grids will ensure the technological connection of the first solar power plant in the region

Specialists of Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), will ensure the technological connection of the first regional solar power plant with a capacity of 75 MW. It is reported that the first stage with the capacity of 25 MW will be put into operation during the next year. This is socially-significant project in the power sector.

As part of technological connection to power networks, a 110/10 kV substation for Samara solar power plant will be constructed, including installation of two transformers with the capacity of 63 MVA each, and a double-circuit 110 kV line with branch lines from the existing 110 kV overhead transmission lines — Tomylovskaya-2 and Tomylovskaya-4 and a 10 kV distribution station. It is planned to complete the project and connect the SEGS to networks of Samara Distribution Grids in 2019. Samara solar power plant is the first renewable power project in the Samara region and one of five similar projects in Russia. The plant will be constructed in Novokuibyshevsk; the site area is 251 hectares. Construction and capacity commissioning will be staged. As part of construction of Samara solar power plant, it is planned to install a total of over 300,000 solar modules that will produce over 100,000 MW*h of "green power" annually.
