Debts of electric grid companies to Mordovenergo branch amount to 262 million rubles

Contractors of IDGC of Volga, PJSC in the Republic of Mordovia fail to timely discharge their payment obligations. As of October 01, 2017 the amount of debts for electricity transmission totaled to 261,9 million rubles, including overdue debts amounting to 24 million rubles. C

ompanies defaulting on their payment obligations with the biggest debts are: Technical Firm WATT, CJSC (14 million rubles), Oboronenergosbyt, JSC (2.37 million rubles), Mordov Power Grid Company, LLC (4.15 million rubles), and UES-Garant, LLC (260 thousand rubles).

To solve this difficult problem, specialists of Mordovenergo branch implement a package of measures aimed to reduce overdue accounts receivable. They send claims to contractors notifying of enforced debt collection, including payment of default charges (penalties), if payment is not made by the due date. If this situation persists, Mordovenergo branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC may implement legal measures to limit power supply for debtors for default in payment. Inevitably, debtors have to face the consequences of their failure to discharge contractual obligations.

Specialists of the branch carry out legal collection activities using the complaint procedure, with the result that bad payers have to pay large late payment interest in addition to the amount of their debts. Such methods of debt collection require too much time, while IDGC of Volga, PJSC has to finance operational expenses to maintain the stability and integrity of the interconnected power grid, and to fulfill their own commitments to contractors.

However, under present circumstances IDGC of Volga, PJSC, being a socially-responsible company, uses its best endeavors to ensure efficient and reliable power supply for all categories of consumers in the Republic of Mordovia during the autumn and winter peak load period.
