In 2016, specialists of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), plan to repair 3,753.9 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead power transmission lines (OHL) and 968.2 km of 35-110 kV OHL. Herewith, 1,912 wooden and concrete supports, 13,418 line insulators, as well as 74.6 km of wires and 3.6 km of lightning protection cable will be replaced. Besides, during the 2016 repair campaign Penza energy specialists will repair 1,092 10/6/0.4 kV transformer substations. Major repair is planned at fifty-nine 110/35/10/6 kV substations. In the course of these works, at 35-110 kV substations 321 6-110 kV switches, 77 separators, short circuitors and 371 disconnectors will be repaired. In accordance with the approved long-range program of clearing the routes of rights-of-way of OHL for 2016 within the framework of investment and maintenance programs, Penzaenergo branch scheduled the activities on vegetation management and expansion of power transmission line corridors in the area of 859 ha. The repair operations are carried out to ensure appropriate safety level of electrical transmission equipment, provision of uninterrupted power supply for consumers in the Penza region, and prevention of faults and failures in the performance of electrical installations. Power engineers will proceed with large-scale repair operations in April of the current year.
