Rosseti Company reported high preparedness of the power grid facilities for operations during the upcoming autumn and winter season.
On September 21, 2017, a joint meeting of the Federal Command Staff and heads of local headquarters was held in the Column Hall of the Council House to address issues of safe power supply for the Volga Federal District in autumn and winter season 2018/2019. The meeting was presided by Andrey Cherezov, Deputy Head of the Governmental Commission, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.
Persons participating in the Command Staff activities included representatives of the federal authorities and bodies of executive power of constituent entities of the Volga Federal District, CEOs of companies operating in energy and housing and utility sectors, representatives of the public prosecution service, law enforcement agencies and emergency services. During the meeting, the participants heard the reports of CEOs of companies and heads of regions on preparedness to operations during the upcoming autumn and winter peak load periods. They also reviewed the results of monitoring of technical state and repair activities held on power grid facilities across the Volga Federal District.
Rosseti, PJSC was represented by Dmitry Gvozdev, Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer of Rosseti, PJSC, and Vladimir Ryabikin, General Director of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies).
Preparatory activities related to power grid facilities of the Volga Federal District located in the area of responsibility of the Company's subsidiaries activities have been almost completed. All business units launched final inspections to verify preparedness of the power grid facilities for operations during the autumn and winter season 2017/2018. Reviewing the results, the Deputy Minister of Energy resolved that the power grid facilities shall be prepared for operations during the autumn and winter season 2017/2018 by November.
