The debt of Chuvash Power Sales Company, JSC, the Last Resort Supplier in the Chuvash Republic, for power transmission services provided by IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group) has not been considerably reduced since the beginning of 2017. As of January 01, 2017, the overdue debt totaled 834.1 million rubles. At present, the debt amounts to 843 million rubles. Thus, Chuvash Power Sales Company, JSC pays current power transmission bills, but does not repay the accumulated debt. The only way to collect the overdue payments is still by filling claims to courts, however, in this case, debt collection would take a long time. Meanwhile, Chuvash Power Sales Company neither makes any steps to pay off its liabilities nor suggests IDGC of Volga, PJSC any other options to resolve this problem. Such a passive position is absolutely unacceptable for the Last Resort Supplier of the Chuvash Republic. Apart from the Last Resort Supplier, a number of related grid companies still maintain or increase their debts: Elektrotekhmontazhlaboratoriya Plus, LLC (5.2 million rubles since January 2017), Novocheboksarsk Municipal Electric Networks (6.5 million rubles for June 2017), and Energoaktiv, LLC (1.3 million rubles for May and June 2017). Not receiving money from consumers of power transmission services becomes critical in the period of active preparations of the grid facilities in the republic for the autumn-winter season 2017/2018.
