Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) will ensure technological connection of a new vegetable store currently constructed in Bezenchucksky district of the Samara region. The technological connection will provide additional 500 kW to enable reliable power supply for the new facility. Covering a total area of 42 ha, it will be one of the largest vegetable stores in the Samara region. A number of facilities operated by the Samarskiye Ovoshchi Group of Companies have been already connected to electrical networks of Samara DG. However, electricity demand is expected to grow with the expansion and reconstruction of the existing vegetable storage facilities, including installation of additional refrigerating plants. The total facility area is 42 hectares, and the existing capacities are not sufficient to cover the growing demand for energy. As part of planned technological connections, the following projects were completed: installation of two power transmission line supports and one 10 kV overhead transmission line, construction of one 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation, deployment of new protection relays and controls, current transformers and line-isolating switches. Planned constriction and installation operations will be completed by the end of the year. Support of agro-industries, including provision of reliable power supply, is one of priority areas for Samara branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC. ”Samara DG branch is ready to provide reasonable support for farmers. Besides, constriction of new electrical network facilities to support technological connection of regional agricultural businesses is the primary concern of investment programs of the company’s branches,” comments Konstantin Sanaev, Director of Samara DG.
