In 2014, specialists of Vostochnye (Eastern) Electrical Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) will conduct capital and routine maintenance of 361 transformer substations and overhead power transmission lines of different voltage classes, with the total length of over 387 km. Maintenance operations at transmission lines include replacement of 542 defective poles, about 4.5 thousand insulators and 35 km of wire. “This year, the repair program is rather intensive. To implement it successfully, we have to put a lot of effort. The works will be done in a stepwise manner, over several months. Once the works have been completed, the production department will obtain a so-called “certificate of preparedness”. This document will confirm that all maintenance works on the electrical grid facilities have been conducted in a workmanlike manner,” noted Yuri Klybansky, Head of the Centralized Repair Service of Vostochnye Electrical Grids of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC.
