MOSCOW, June 24, 2004 – RUSAL, one of the world’s leading aluminium producers, today announced the installation of a new colouring line in its MOSMEK construction profiles plant. The new line, currently being brought into operation, cost $1.6 mln. and is designed to colour 1.5 mln. square meters of profile surface per year.
Installation of the new line expands the profile colouring capacities of the plant by 30%, increasing the share of products of higher added value. Increased colouring capacities will also help reduce production time and associated costs. The new line is being supplied by Trevisan Cometal Group of Italy. The line will operate according to European QUALICOAT standards, which guarantee quality and the environmental friendliness of the process.
“The installation of a new line is the next significant step in MOSMEK’s upgrading programme,” said Nikolay Tishkin, MOSMEK engineering director. “It will help us better meet requirements of the growing construction materials market and will raise the plant’s output.”
