RBC TV's monthly audience in Moscow expanded 89% in one year

Moscow, November 16, 2007 - According to a survey conducted in October 2007 by the COMCON1 independent media research company at the request of OAO RBC Information Systems (MICEX, RTS: RBCI), the RBC TV business channel's monthly audience in Russia increased 39% in one year and reached 12.15mln viewers. At the same time, the channel's Moscow audience grew 89% to 1.35mln viewers. The survey shows that RBC TV remains the third most popular news provider among TV channels in Russia.

RBC TV's weekly audience rose 34% from 6.68mln viewers in October 2006 to 8.94mln people in October 2007. The channel's daily audience enjoyed the most dynamic growth during the year, surging 68% from 2.73mln people to 4.59mln people as a result of a significant increase in the number of viewers both on weekdays (+70%) and weekends (+63%). According to the company's estimates, RBC TV's technical coverage is around 50mln Russians and approximately 15mln people in the CIS countries and the Baltic States.

"The new COMCON survey revealed great dynamics of RBC TV's development and, in particular, impressive daily audience growth. At the same time, it demonstrated the first and, in my opinion, excellent audience expansion results in the Moscow region, which has been made possible after RBC TV started distributing its signal through Mostelecom's cable television network in 2006. We are very pleased with the achieved results and will continue working on the expansion of our coverage and audience in Moscow and major cities of Russia and abroad," General Director of RBC TV Artyom Inutin said.

1- The survey was held by telephone poll (CATI) in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Ryazan, as well as by face-to-face street interviews in other cities. The survey's universe was 47,952,000 people.
