Companies from Europe and Asia attended the exhibition in Cyprus from May 24 to June 2. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation arranged for the participation of Russian companies. This year TEZ-21 (an AO MOSENERGO division) received an invitation to participate in the fair from the Department for Science and Technology of the Russian Camber of Commerce.
At the fair, TEZ-21 demonstrated expansion engines, generating units that have been used by the company from 1995. The units transform excessive gas energy into electricity. Gas is heated and directed to turbine expanders which lower the gas pressure and rotate gas turbines generating electricity.
The uniqueness of this technology centers on the freedom from burning gas, which helps to save resources and protect the environment. In addition, the use of expander generators reduces the cost of generating energy by more than three times. The nominal capacity of the generator is 5 MWt, gas consumption – 31.5 kg/s. Since 1995, the unit has generated 215 GWt of electricity.
At the opening of the exhibition, TEZ-21’s exhibits were presented by the director of the power station Yuri Guskov. He noted that on the very first day of the exhibition, the unit attracted a large number of visitors.
