Because of Ramadan the organizers of Desert Challenge rally, which was planned to be hold within October 10-16 in UAE, decided to finish it before the time. Thus, KAMAZ-master team is brilliantly finishing the sport season in Championship 2004 on off road rally.

The crew of KAMAZ ?261 – Rustam Minnikhanov as pilot, Aidar Belyaev as navigator and Vladimir Tchaguine as mechanic – became the winner of the rally. Firdaus Kabirov, Ildar Kabirov and Andrey mokeev on KAMAZ ?262 came the second. The Italian crew on Mercedes ?265 piloted by Juzeppe Panzzeri was the third.
