Today, the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Alexander Berdnikov, Governor of the Altai Republic.

The meeting examined the progress with implementing the Agreement of cooperation between Gazprom and the Altai Republic. Additionally, the parties discussed issues relevant to construction of the Barnaul-Biysk-Gorno-Altaisk gas main with branch pipeline in Belokurikha and gasification of the regional settlements. The parties underscored the importance of said work for social and economic development of the Republic.

The Agreement of cooperation between Gazprom and the Altai republic was signed on September 21, 2006. The document stipulates Gazprom’s participation in executing efficient gas supply projects for the population and industrial enterprises of the Republic.

The Biysk-Gorno-Altaisk section of the Barnaul-Biysk-Gorno-Altaisk gas main with branch pipeline in Belokurikha is planned to be commissioned in 2008.
