Management Committee has approved the Integrated Program for Reconstruction and Technical Re-equipment of Gas Production Facilities for the period up to 2010.

Management Committee has decided to utilize the Integrated Program as the basis while forming annual and medium-term Gazprom investment programs for reconstruction and technical re-equipment of gas production facilities as well as design & exploration work plans.

The Integrated Program for Reconstruction and Technical Re-equipment of Gas Production Facilities for the period up to 2010 was worked out by VNIIGAZ, NIIgazeconomika (Gazprom 100 per cent subsidiaries) with participation of gas producing companies and Gazprom departments.

The Integrated Program working out and implementation basic target is to provide reliable safe economically efficient operation of the gas producing facilities to fulfill rated levels of gas production.

The Integrated Program implementation permits to:

• provide rated volumes and standard quality of hydrocarbon raw material field processing;
• secure economic efficiency of operation of gas producing facilities;
• reduce process losses of produced hydrocarbon raw material, energy and resources outlays;
• ensure technical and ecological security of technologies and equipment.

Total investment volume to implement the Integrated Program is specified within RUB 106 billion.

Capital investments to reconstruct gas producing facilities increased annually sevenfold from RUB 0.5 billion up to RUB 3.5 billion in 2000-2005.

The investments were directed to reconstruct the following main facilities:

• technological equipment of the basic production;
• automation systems;
• power, heat, water supply and disposal systems.

At present 83 fields are at different stages of development. From 29.1 tcm of gas reserves Gazprom has mastered and developing 16.5 tcm (57%) which are attributed mainly to 17 fields in the Nadym-Pur-Tazov Region of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug as well the Astrakhanskoye and Orenburgskoye fields.
