Gazprom’s Regional Policy Commission has convened on its regular meeting chaired by Valery Golubev, Head of the Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

The Commission examined the issues relevant to interaction between Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky and the authorities of the Perm Krai, Udmurt Republic, Kirov Oblast, Republic of Bashkortostan and Krasnodar Krai where the Company runs its business activities.

The main areas of cooperation between Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky and local authorities under the Company’s Regional Policy Concept are secure and safe gas transportation as well as gasification of settlements.

It was noted that interaction between Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky and regional authorities was fully in line with the requirements of Gazprom’s Regional Policy Concept.  

When discussing the results of Gazprom transgaz Tchaikovsky and regional authorities’ joint work aimed at developing the CNG filling station network, the meeting participants decided to invoke a discussion in the Russian Government, federal ministries and departments concerning the development of a state Program for natural gas utilization as a vehicle fuel.

Background:

Gazprom’s Regional Policy Concept was approved by the Company’s Management Committee in May 2003. The document stipulates devising a scheme of Gazprom’s interaction with Russia’s constituent entities, which enables to efficiently meet on a win/win basis a whole set of operational, financial, organizational and other challenges arising in the course of the Company’s regular business activities.
