Gazprom Management Committee rewards winners of corporate prizes for 2006

In the course of its meeting the Management Committee has rewarded the winners of the Gazprom science and technology prizes for 2006, and signed the General Collective Agreement of OAO Gazprom and the Subsidiaries for 2007 through 2009 as well as the Collective Agreement between OAO Gazprom Officers & Employees and OAO Gazprom for 2007 through 2009.

Reference:

16 research papers were nominated in 2006 for the Gazprom science and technology prizes. The papers had been prepared by a total of 133 authors from 9 affiliate and 13 third-party companies. In October the Management Committee awarded the Gazprom corporate prizes to 10 research papers.

The top prize was presented to the paper “The Commercial Hydrocarbon Reserve Treatment Technology on the Example of the Shtokman Gas and Condensate Field” developed by VNIIGAZ. The rewarded papers are projected to produce an aggregate economic benefit of some RUR 12 bln.

The pertinent organizations and paper authors were rewarded with diplomas, decorations and cash bonuses.

The draft General Collective Agreement of OAO Gazprom and the Subsidiaries for 2007 through 2009 was endorsed at the Conference of OAO Gazprom Officers & Employees on November 22, 2006.

The draft Collective Agreement between OAO Gazprom Officers & Employees and OAO Gazprom for 2007 through 2009 was endorsed at the Conference of OAO Gazprom Administration Officers on December 19, 2006.

The Agreements had been developed due to the expiry of the Agreements for 2004 through 2006. The new Agreements are hinging on the standards of the previous Agreements with the account of their practical application and the changes introduced in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

The Agreements are primarily aimed at agreeing on the employee and employer interests within a social partnership frame as well as, given the Company’s economic capacities, providing officers & employees with a broader range of guarantees and benefits than stipulated in the existing Labor Legislation of the Russian Federation and other legal acts, and the Industry Agreement.

Signing the General Collective Agreement and the Collective Agreement is part of the Gazprom policy to enhance social protection of the Company’s officers & employees. The first step in this direction was signing in 2000 the Tariff Agreement between the Employees & Officers of OAO Gazprom and Subsidiaries for 2001 through 2003.
