Sergey Leus – Acting Minister for Industry, Transport and Energy of Murmansk Region spoke on the results of the meeting between the management of IDGC of North-West and the Governor.

"Both power engineering specialists and the Governor realize the development of grid complex in the region should come along at priority rates. Industry, infrastructure, business will follow the development. It is good that we have discussed it today,’ said Acting Minister for Industry, Transport and Energy of Murmansk Region Sergey Leus.

He estimated the meeting interesting and useful. “The meeting has been constructive as it was expected. The people who would work together, made contacts at the meeting. We have examined what was done and what is to be done in the electric system. We have discussed investment issues,” pointed out Leus.

"The fact that the new Governor Dmitry Dmitrienko spent more than one hour and a half on meeting with the management of IDGC of North-West in spite of being busy, signs the topicality of the meeting,” emphasized he.

According to Sergey Leus, it is quite urgent for Murmansk to begin building a new substation “Severnaya” of 150 kV in 2010. This topic has already been discussed from the issues of projecting of an energy object which is being done now, to amount of investment which the building of this important object needs within the frameworks of the investment program of the company.

“To decide this and other issues on development of energy sector which are urgent for the Murmansk Region, not only motion but a special acceleration will be needed. But I would like to emphasize that we do more than just take off. Everything has started not today: the energy system has been existing for a long time and our work has been carried out for a long time. A simple update of direction for movement is possible,” considers Acting Minister for Industry, Transport and Energy of Murmansk Region.

“Motion is continues in the direction which was determined earlier. We have constructively decided certain issuers during the today’s meeting,” concluded Sergey Leus to resume the first official meeting of General Director of IDGC of North-West Alexander Kukhmay with the Governor of the Region Dmitry Dmitrienko.
