On 14th February 2006 the 13th International Exhibition of Communication and Telecommunication Systems –Norwecom-2006 was opened. OJSC North-West Telecom continues to be a major exhibitor and organizer of the event. 

The following officials took part in the exhibition opening ceremony held at the stand of OJSC North-West Telecom:   

Assistant Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the RF A.N. Kiselyov;

 - Chairperson of the Informatization and Communication Committee of St. Petersburg Ye.G. Tsivirko;

 - Chairperson of the Information Policy and Telecommunications Committee of Leningrad Oblast M.M. Mikhailichenko;

In his speech at the exhibition opening ceremony, General Manager of OJSC North-West Telecom V.A. Akulich noted that "for the communication industry of the North-West, Norwecom meant holidays that they had just a few times in a year. Manufacturers offer new equipment and operators offer new services. North-West Telecom presented to visitors of the exhibition a new service –access to the Internet using the ADSL technology, not just the company."

This year the Norwecom exhibition was held in the new, 7th pavilion, the central space of which was occupied by the exhibits of OJSC North-West Telecom.   Besides the broadband access services from NWT, visitors of the exhibition will be able to get familiarized with a wide range of services intended for private and corporate clients: Internet on credit, value added services, Triple Play services –a package of integrated services: telephone communication, Internet access, television and video on demand provided via one broadband channel on the basis of the IP technology. 

On the 14th of February 2006 the annual prize "Leader of the Russian Business in Telecommunications and Communication –2006" was awarded in the framework of the exhibition, with the following winners:
