At the Norwecom-2006 exhibition to be opened today, on the 14th of February, North-West Telecom will present for the first time the service of broadband access to the Internet using the ADSL technology under the new @vangardtrademark
The ADSL technology makes it possible to organize a high-speed permanent access channel to the Internet via the existing telephone line. The telephone line remains free. The ADSL technology is based on the principle of frequency division for voice signal transmission and data transmission. As the low-frequency band is used for voice, while a broader high-frequency band is used for the Internet access, this gives a high speed of data transmission.

A fundamental peculiarity of NWT's entry to the ADSL services market is the provision of such services on credit.  Payment for the @vangardservice will be effected on the basis of the invoices for telecommunications services of OJSC North-West Telecom.

North-West Telecom offers three rate plans to its clients without limiting the traffic at the speeds of 64 Kbit/s, 128 Kbit/s and 256 Kbit/s. The user charge is 650 roubles at the speed of 64 Kbit/s and 800 roubles at the speed of 128 Kbit/s. At the Norwecom-2006 the company will present for the first time the ADSL 256K rate, with which the monthly fee will amount to just 950 roubles.

At the same time with introducing the new brand and the 256K rate to the market, North-West Telecom is announcing a special offer for its subscribers:

 - only at the exhibition a connection to the @vangard service will be sold at all speeds for 999 roubles, including the first month of using the Internet – provided there is the technical feasibility of connecting to the service at the moment the application for the connection is filed;   

 - only at the exhibition a connection to the @vangard service will be sold at all speeds for 499 roubles, including the first month of servicing– provided there is the "planned" technical feasibility of connecting to the service at the moment the application for the connection is filed.    Connection to the @vangard service will be provided no later than the 1st of June 2006.

If you are not ready to buy a connection to the @vangardservice directly at the stand of the Norwecom-2006 exhibition from the 14th  to the 16th of February, North-West Telecom will issue you Certificates entitling you to connection at the special exhibition price. The Certificate will be valid till the 15th of March 2006, i.e. before that date you will have to buy a connection to the @vangardservice at any of the company's Clients Servicing Centres, producing the Connection Certificate received at the Norwecom-2006 exhibition.
