Moscow, 2 March 2006. Pursuant to the Federal Law On Joint-Stock Companies and the Company's Charter, RAO "UES of Russia" has completed the receipt of shareholder proposals to be considered by the AGM and the nominations for the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" will vote on the proposals and nominations in absentia on 6 March 2006.
Shareholders have proposed that the following items of business be included on the AGM agenda:
- Approval of the Company's Annual Report;
- Approval of the annual financial statements, including the income statement of the Company;
- Approval of the appropriation of the Company's profit for year 2005;
- Determining the annual dividend amount, payment period, and form of payment of the dividend for 2005;
- Election of members of the Board of Directors of the Company;
- Election of members of the Auditing Commission of the Company;
- Approval of the appointment of the Company Auditors.
