Moscow, 15 March 2006. RAO "UES of Russia" is hosting a conference "IT Solutions for Energy Retail Companies", which started today.

The conference, organized by Business Unit 1 of RAO "UES of Russia", is intended to acquaint its participants with the existing IT solutions for Energy Retail Companies (ERCs), and provide a forum for sharing experience and discussing avenues to advancing information technologies for energy retailing.

During the three days of the Conference, from March 15 to March 17, its participants will examine various billing arrangements used by energy retailers, routine business processes employed by ERCs, information exchange of energy retailers with the outside world, and IT solutions to forecast effective electricity supply.

Among the Conference participants are representatives of the leading systems integrators, consultancy firms, major global vendors and software/IT solutions providers. Reports and presentations will be delivered by top managers of Business Unit 1, senior executives and engineers from Oracle, OXS, ITG Group, Accenture, I-Serv, Deloitte & Touche, ZAO "Rusenergoinform", OOO "Integrator IT", OOO "Alfa-Integrator-Informenergo", etc.
