Moscow, 15 March 2006. The aggregate trading volume in the Information and Trading System "Market for Products, Services and Technologies for the Electricity Industry "B2B-energo", the e-procurement system used by RAO UESR entities, has topped RUB29.2 billion.

Since B2B-energo went live, over 4,100 tenders and auctions have been announced on the trading floor, with more than 12,280 bids and offers submitted through the system. Currently, 552 public tenders are held in B2B-energo in a real time mode. The e-trading system has 4,740 participants from 24 countries.

The functionalities of B2B-energo support any forms of competitive procurement, including fuel supply tenders for power plants of RAO "UES of Russia". In 2005, over 120 tenders to procure fuel worth in excess of RUB1.8 billion were held in the trading system. The use of public tenders helped RAO UES entities cut the cost of fuel oil procured by 12.3%, coal by 7.4%, and petroleum, oil and lubricants by 13%, which resulted in overall savings of over RUB240 million.
