Moscow, 14 March 2006. The annual RUSSIA POWER Exhibition and Conference has started today in Moscow. Among the Conference organizers are RAO "UES of Russia", OAO "Power Machines", the Ministry of Industry and Energy of Russia, General Electric, etc.

The Conference will last three days from March 14 to March 16. Visitors will be able to see the latest technological innovations developed by the world's leading power engineering companies, such as Alstom, Caterpillar, General Electric, OAO "Power Machines", Siemens, Technopromexport, and many others.

Among the key issues on the agenda are the reform of Russia's electricity industry, modernization and upgrade of the existing generation facilities, investments in the energy sector, and electricity trading in a market environment.

Presentations will be made by Vasily Zubakin, member of RAO UESR Management Board; Vyacheslav Sinyugin, Chairman of the Management Board of OAO "HydroWGC", and senior executives of the leading Russian and foreign energy companies.
