Moscow, May 15, 2008. On May 12, 2008 MICEX stock exchange moved to put ordinary shares of OJSC INTER RAO UES on the list of securities authorized for trading.

OJSC INTER RAO UES stock will be put on the MICEX “I” quotation list.

A similar move was made by the Russian Trading System (RTS) stock exchange on May 7, 2008.

The listing of OJSC INTER RAO UES shares on stock exchanges enables the RAO UES of Russia shareholders, who after the liquidation of the electric power holding company on July 1, 2008 will become shareholders of OJSC INTER RAO UES, to trade OJSC INTER RAO UES stock on open stock markets. It will also enable OJSC INTER RAO UES to launch a depositary receipt programme in tandem with The Bank of New York in July 2008.
