The Murmanskelektrosviaz branch of OJSC North-West Telecom and Murmansk Division of Alfa Bank have announced the beginning of their joint project to promote the service of Internet access using the xDSL high-speed technology and the MasterCard VIRTUAL plastic card.

All customers of the Murmanskelektrosviaz subsidiary connecting to the Internet using the xDSL high-speed technology during the action will be issued a certificate for free opening of Alfa Bank’s MasterCard VIRTUAL plastic card. The MasterCard VIRTUAL card is intended for accounts on the Internet, and may be used to make purchases and to pay for goods delivery and services provided without leaving home or office. The use of the xDSL technology improves the Internet access speed while leaving the telephone line unoccupied, which is a doubtless advantage for users, and allows to save time and money.   

During the action, holders of Alfa Bank’s MasterCard VIRTUAL plastic cards will be granted a 5% discount when connecting to the service.

The action will last until December 31, 2005. During the action, in summer and before the New Year, two tour tickets to Turkey and Egypt will be drawn. They will be provided by the M-Tour Agency and the Aviazakaz.ru service.
