Moscow, 17 March 2005. Today, OAO "Sixth Generation Company of the Wholesale Electricity Market" (OAO "WGC-6") was registered with the Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for Leninsky District, city of Rostov-on-Don.

Pursuant to the Resolution of RAO "UES of Russia" On the Establishment of OAO "WGC-6", Valentin Sanko (currently CEO of OAO "Northern Energy Management Company") was appointed Director General of the newly established company.

Besides Valentin Sanko, the following persons were elected to the Board of Directors of OAO "WGC-6": Ilya Gorev, Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Business Unit No. 1, RAO "UES of Russia"; Yury Dolin, Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Business Unit No. 1, RAO "UES of Russia"; Ilyas Zagretdinov, Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Business Unit No. 1, RAO "UES of Russia"; Alexander Negomedzyanov, Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Business Unit No. 1, RAO "UES of Russia"; Danil Nikitin, Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Business Unit No. 1, RAO "UES of Russia"; Anna Vasilyeva, Deputy Head of Personnel Management Department of Corporate Center, RAO "UES of Russia"; Seppo Remes, President, Kiuru Partners Ltd.; Alexander Kazakov, Chairman of Federation Issues and Regional Policy Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Dmitry Skryabin, Planning Manager of Energy Directorate, OOO "EvrazHolding"; and Alexander Shumilov, Deputy Director of Department, OAO "SUEK" ("SIBENCO").

The resolution to establish OAO "WGC-6" as a wholly-owned subsidiary of OAO RAO "UES of Russia" was approved by the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" on 24 December 2004.

At the time of establishment, The charter capital of OAO "WGC-6" is RUB23 billion and is divided into ordinary shares of RUB1 par value.

Pursuant to Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1254-r of 1 September 2003, the following companies were included in OAO "WGC-6": OAO "Ryazanskaya TPP", OAO "GRES-24" ("TPP-24" of OAO "Mosenergo"), OAO "Novocherkasskaya TPP-1", OAO "Kirishskaya TPP", OAO "Krasnoyarskaya TPP-2", and OAO "Cherepovetskaya TPP".
