Rostelecom, with the assistance of GMCS ? PricewaterhouseCoopers, starts implementing Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley (MOSASO) to enhance the Company’s internal control over financial reporting.

Deputy General director - Financial Director of Rostelecom Andrei Gaiduk commented: “Implementation of MOSASO will enable the Company to enhance the efficiency of internal control and introduce its monitoring while fulfilling business processes. Thus it will result in overall improvement of our corporate governance practices.”

The decision to implement MOSASO was made after a pilot testing of the model conducted by the specialists from GMCS in line with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ approaches.

The project is to be completed in the current year. During the first stage 300 workstations will be installed both at the Company’s Headquarters and its 9 branches (over 70 business units).
