JSC "ROSSETI" introduced their achievements in energy efficiency at the Russian-German Forum in Yekaterinburg

The VI Russian-German Forum on Energy Efficiency finished in Yekaterinburg. International meeting was held at the joint initiative of Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (DENA) and the Government of Sverdlovsk region. A key topic of the meeting of representatives of Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH with Russian representatives of economic, political and academic circles was to discuss technologies of energy efficiency increasing for energy infrastructure modernization.

Leading energy companies and industrial enterprises, government representatives and leaders of non-profit organizations in Russia and Germany were invited to participate in the meeting. The Governor of Sverdlovsk region - Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the Chairman of Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (DENA) - Stephan Kohler, the Rector of the Ural Federal University - Victor Koksharov - took part in the plenary session of the forum.

In his opening speech, Evgeny Kuyvashev noted that it was very pleasant that the Forum had become a traditional event. "The German Energy Agency is traditionally a link between business circles of Germany and regional manufacturers, energy companies," said Yevgeny Kuyvashev.

Domestic power grids sector was represented by a delegation of technical managers of JSC "ROSSETI", and specialists of its subsidiary - IDGC of Urals, JSC.

The Director of the Technological Development and Innovation Department - of JSC "ROSSETI" - Vladimir Sofyin - was invited to the event as a moderator of a panel discussion devoted to the prospective development of electric grids. This topic section attracted the attention of various energy companies, manufacturers of electrical equipment, industry experts and representatives of scientific community.

Speaking about the experience of JSC "ROSSETI" in the field of energy efficiency, Vladimir Sofyin emphasized that over the past few years the Group's companies had performed high-quality work in this area. "The main stimulus of intellectualization of grids and systems for power engineers is reduction of losses. The transfer to a new technological order in the company is impossible without improving the reliability and flexibility of the grid, without the introduction of digital systems. JSC "ROSSETI" has identified key activities and performs systematic work to achieve these goals: reduction of losses, modernization of the accounting system and implementation of a project of smart grid creation. In accordance with the strategy of power grids sector development by 2017 JSC "ROSSETI" plans to reduce electricity loss by 11% in comparison with 2012," said Vladimir Sofyin.

It should be noted that the Russian-German Forum on Energy Efficiency traditionally became a unique platform for the exchange of experiences and identification of further opportunities for the Russian-German cooperation in the field of power engineering. The meeting allowed its participants not only to share their experiences using the latest energy-saving technologies and to expand international cooperation to the development of energy, but also to establish long-term partnerships to promote active development of its business or non-profit organization. Within the exchange of contacts the visitors of the forum had an opportunity to personally talk to the heads of leading German companies such as Siemens, YADOS GmbH, BMW, Wilo SE, Viessmann Werke GmbH & Co. KG and others.
