On March 25, 2005 Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov paid a working visit to the city of Khanty-Mansiisk, where he held a meeting with the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District Governor Alexander Filipenko, and to the city of Nefteyugansk, home to Rosneftís subsidiary, Yuganskneftegaz.
The visit to Khanty-Mansiisk was aimed at signing a trilateral Agreement on Cooperation in 2005 between the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District Government, Rosneft and Yuganskneftegaz. The Agreement envisages mutually advantageous cooperation in the spheres of taxation, natural resources development, environmental activities and investment projects required for the regionís stable economic and social development.
The Agreement highlights social programs. Rosneft and Yuganskneftegaz are to construct certain socially important objects in the region: a school and two housing units, and to reconstruct the water and heat supply systems in the village of Seliyarovo in the Khanty-Mansi District; a library and a pharmacy in the village of Salym in the Nefteyugansk District; a hospital in the town of Pyt-Yakh; and a swimming pool in the city of Nefteyugansk. Rosneft and Yuganskneftegaz are also to invest in a number of regional sports and cultural facilities.
The trip also included visits to several objects of the Ust-Balyk and Mamontovsky oil-and-gas fields. Sergei Bogdanchikov visited Oil Preparation and Pumping Unit 1, water separation units, inspected the new booster pump station, and hosted a meeting with the third Oil and Gas Production Unit personnel.
The Rosneft President also held talks with Nefteyugansk administrative officials, inspected a number of the cityís facilities, and discussed certain aspects of cooperation in the municipal development projects financed by Yuganskneftegaz with the acting Mayor Gribanov.
