Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, starts creating the Corporate Information Storage System (CISS). The lead implementer of CISS project is to be TopS Business Integrator (TopS BI).

The first stage of the project will cover requirements specification development and advance planning of a unified Corporate Information Storage System. On the whole, it is supposed to work out a detailed CISS design including the design reference model, the choice of the system platform, the schedule and procedures of data handling etc.

Andrei Baklykov, Rostelecom’s Chief Information Officer, commented: “Implementation of this project, which covers all major departments of the Company’s Headquarters, will result in the creation of up-to-date information system supporting managerial decision-making on the base of providing Rostelecom’s top and middle management with complete and reliable data in the most effective way.”
