Moscow, 8 April 2005. The member of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" and Chairman of the Management Board of OAO "HydroWGC" Vyacheslav Sinyugin took part in the Second Annual Investment Forum for Regional Development in Krasnoyarsk organized by the Council of the Krasnoyarsk Kray Administration.

In his speech on the development prospects of the hydroelectricity sector, including in the territory of Krasnoyarsk Kray, Vyacheslav Sinyugin said that the hydro resources of the basins of the Yenisey and Angrara rivers are unique in their size and the development prospects. One of the top priority projects for OAO "HydroWGC" is the construction of the Boguchanskaya hydro power plant (HPP). If the Russian Government takes a decision this year on the mechanism to finance the completion of the plant construction, the first three power units of the HPP may be put into operation as early as in 2010, said Mr. Sinyugin. The speaker also pointed out that OAO "HydroWGC" is currently implementing an important project in Krasnoyarsk Kray, i.e. the construction of a spillway at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, which is designed to increase the reliability of Russia's largest hydro power plant.
