Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, today announced the appointment of Roman Frolov as the Company’s Chief Accountant. The candidacy of Mr. Frolov was approved by the Nominations and Remuneration Committee of the Board of Directors.
Roman Frolov, who previously held the position of Deputy Chief Accountant, Head of Accounting and Tax Methodology Department, succeeded Alexander Lutsky when he took up the post on February 6, 2006.
Mr. Frolov joined Rostelecom in May 2002 as a tax manager and in December of the same year he was appointed Head of Department, quickly followed by his appointment as Deputy Chief Accountant in April 2003.
Prior to joining Rostelecom, Mr. Frolov worked for KPMG, where he started in 1998 as an assistant and was ultimately promoted to senior tax consultant.
Mr. Frolov holds a degree in finance from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics (1997).
