UTK plans to recoup costs for intelligent network construction within one year

UTK is the first among mega-regional telecoms to create common intelligent telecommunication network (ISS) covering the licensed territory of the Company. Main elements of ISS structure based on Alcatel and Berkut (Saint Petersburg) equipment are service switching points (SSP) located in each of the Company’s regional branches and two service control points (SCP): the one - located in Krasnodar - is main, the  other - located in Stavropol - is reserve.

«At present time the equipment has been installed. UTK plans to put ISS Into test operation in the middle of April, and into commercial operation - in the first half of the current year» - Yevgeny Rzhevsky, Deputy Technical Director of "UTK" PJSC said. ISS will make it possible to provide UTK’s customers with all intelligent services. In addition, due to modernization of the billing system UTK can offer the universal payment instrument for all telecom services - Uniform Service Card – to its customers. This instrument is being deployed throughout the licensed territory of the Company’s regional branches, including roaming of Cards, i.e. a card bought in one region can be used in another region.

«At the first stage, during the first year of ISS commercial operation, UTK expects to receive additional income of about 35 million rubles. It will allow almost to recoup costs of 2 mln US dollars for ISS construction», - Denis Kondrakov, UTK’s Deputy Director General for Business Development, noted.
