TGC-9

July 23, 2007

Perm HPP-6 (being a part of Perm HPP-9- TGC-9 branch) is planning to put into operation the distribution point 6kW (DP-6kW)

Perm. 19.07.09. The necessity to construct a new distribution device is determined by the requirements of the station and the consumers. For Perm HPP-6 the reliability of energy supply can significantly increase; Perm HPP can get a good chance to enlarge the station as well. Putting into operation of DP -6kW can give an opportunity to industrial enterprises to connect new capacities.

As a result of the reconstruction of Perm HPP-6 in September, 2006, the construction of DP-6kW, consisting of 4 sections was started. The purpose of the construction is to make it possible for the consumers to get new 6kW capacities, to satisfy HPP needs emerging from its enlargement, and also to transfer some part of consumers from the generator distribution device 6kW(GDD-6kW) to DP-6kW.

The installation and setting-up of the equipment of 1st, 2nd, 3rd sections of DP-6kW were completed in May, 2007. The equipment of the last 4th section was installed and set up in the middle of July.

As a result of work 48 6kW additional cells were put into operation. The released cells of GDD-6kW and newly installed cells of DP-6kW are planned to be used for the connection of the boiler plant that is currently being built and the new gas-turbine building of the station as well as new consumers.

The new DP-6kW is equipped with the vacuum switches and the stage-of-the art relay protection that permits to switch off the damaged parts of the electric network system selectively. Unlike the oil switches that were set up on distribution devices earlier, vacuum switches are simpler to operate; they are more fire-proof and less costly as they can work effectively and maintenance-free for 15 years.

Currently experimental operation of DP-6kW is taking place. The distribution device is planned to be fully put into operation in September-October of this year after the setting up of the automated electric energy control and calculation system is completed.
