Moscow. 11 July 2005. Integrated Dispatch Administration (IDA) of Urals* has put into operation the new centralized failure prevention system in the Integrated Energy Systems of Urals**.

The replacement of appliances was carried out under the System Operator – Central Dispatch Administration of the Unified Energy System’s (UES SO-CDA) investment programme. The whole amount of investments in the project, including design and installation activities, totals about RUB29 million.

The System was installed utilizing the state-of-the-art hardware and software. It replaced the out-of-date equipment, which had operated in IDA of Urals since 1989. It let significantly raise the efficiency of failure prevention activities in the Integrated Energy Systems of Urals.

The new System allows for more accurate control, operates in the most complex system environment and meets all the requirements to modern automatic protective devices.

The used engineering and technical solutions will be applied to similar systems in the Integrated Energy Systems of North Caucasus and Middle Volga.
