Starting from 1 September 2009, OJSC North-West Telecom is offering a new functionality to all the users of the Avangard service in the Northwest Federal District – “Night Acceleration” that allows to increase the Internet access speed at night time.

The new functionality is provided to all the Avangard users having limitless plans with speed limitations and without any restrictions on the volume of downloads, except the economy type tariff plans*.

The “Night Acceleration” switches on automatically with no extra charge.  The Internet access rate grows daily from 02:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. Moscow time, and from 01:00 a.m. to 08:00 a.m. local time for the Kaliningrad region residents.

For Avangard users connected to the Internet via ADSL the access rate increases**:

- for incoming traffic – by 100% of the rate set forth in the existing tariff plan

- for outgoing traffic – up to 1 Mbit/sec.

For users with PON Internet access (Mega Avangard plans) the speed will grow by 5 Mbit/sec (both for incoming and outgoing traffic) in all tariff plans.

* “Economy” plans are tariff plans that are not covered by special package offers to limitless plan users of local telephone communication services.

** Since the “Night Acceleration” functionality is provided without any extra charge, an increase in the speed by a definite value is not guaranteed and is subject to, without limitation, the condition of the user line. If the condition of the ADSL line does not ensure the above stated speed increase, service shall be provided “as is” with the current parameters of ADSL line speed.
