Standard & Poor's has upgraded Sistema's (SSA.L) long- term corporate credit rating from 'B' to 'BB-".  S&P also withdrew Sistema ratings from Credit Watch.

An upgrade of Sistema's ratings takes into account the strengthening of the group’s telecommunication subdivision’s business positions along with the improvement of their financial performance. In addition, primary placement of Sistema’s papers to the amount of $1.3 bln has had a favorable effect on the structure of its capital.

The corporation has been also rated by Fitch (B+) and Moody’s Investors Service (B1)
