Moscow, September 24, 2003 - Dmitry Belik, the Chief Financial Officer of RBC (RTS: RBCI; MICEX: RU14RBCI4001), has been declared one of the most professional financial managers in Russia. He was listed in Group A of the top 200 professional CFOs, which put him among the best 50. The rating is administered by the Russian Managers Association and aimed at determining the most successful managers of Russian organizations.
When working on the 4th release of the rating, the Association switched from the evaluation of professionalism to the evaluation of professional reputation of Russian managers. The new approach to the rating's criteria made it possible to conduct a more in-depth and thorough analysis, as the term "professional reputation" includes both the assessment of the level of professionalism as well as a number of other indicators, which are crucial for the evaluation of CFOs' performance.
The entrants were judged on the efficiency of the general financial strategy, capital management, interaction with clients and partners as well as the efficiency of the company's tax and accounting policies.
470 experts including representatives of government institutions, professional business associations, leading investment companies and banks as well as heads of major Russian companies worked on the rating. The objectiveness of the rating has been verified and approved by the Deloitte & Touche international accounting firm.
