Key measures being taken by OAO Mosenergo to implement Programme of Development and Technical Re-equipment of Moscow Energy System (September 18-22, 2006)

On Monday, September 18, an opening of envelopes with bids of participants in a tender for a general contractor’s agreement for design work and equipment delivery for construction of a 420 MW gas-vapor power unit No. 8 at TPP-26 will take place at OAO Mosenergo’s office in the presence of leading power-generating equipment manufacturers representatives.

On Tuesday, September 19, a delegation from the Chinese power supply company Datan will pay a working visit to OAO Mosenergo. Planned topics of discussion include Russia’s energy sector reform, OAO Mosenergo’s Programme of Development and Technical Re-equipment, and new generating capacities construction.

On Wednesday, September 20, A.Ya. Kopsov, General Director of OAO Mosenergo, will hold a regular meeting at TPP-26 to discuss the design and construction of gas-vapor power units for TPP-21, TPP-26, and TPP-27.


Over the next 15 years, OAO Mosenergo generating company is planning to implement a major Programme of Development and Technical Re-equipment of Moscow energy network based on the latest technologies. Under implementation of the Programme to 2010, OAO Mosenergo is planning to commission more than 2400 MW of capacities by constructing new gas-vapor power units at TPP-12, TPP-20, TPP-21, TPP-26, and TPP-27, as well as modernizing and increasing the efficiency factor of existing equipment at a number of the Company’s power plants.
