Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Alexander Filipenko, Governor and Prime minister of Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district – Yugra, signed an agreement on cooperation today in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk.

The agreement specifies that the parties will jointly strive for development of the mineral resources base, its technical and financial provision, rise of oil and gas production as well as increase of funds allocated to exploration of hydrocarbon fields.

The document also provides for joint activities of Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district and LUKOIL relating to implementation of the advanced world technologies in the area of exploration, production, refining of hydrocarbons, environment projects, programs for stimulating investments in Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district and carrying out high-performance joint projects.

The parties decided that the share of LUKOIL in funding the construction of social facilities in Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district will reach 960 mln. rubles and that of the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district government – 520 mln. rubles.

Later on today, the LUKOIL delegation headed by Vagit Alekperov arrived to Kogalym, the capital of the Company in the Western Siberia, for participation in the celebrations dedicated to the 20-year-old anniversary of the city.
