Today, on the 13th of October 2005, armed conflict in the capital of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic resulted in faulty operation of cellular operators serving the territory. So, telephone traffic of UTK’s communication network has greatly increased. Short-time connection failures are possible due to increased volume of long-distance traffic. As at 15:00, Moscow time, all telecommunication equipment and communication lines of "UTK" PJSC function properly, being the basic means of communication in the region in this extreme situation. Protection of all communication facilities by security service of "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC and FGUP "Svyaz-Bezopasnost" has been intensified.
