Prior to Russia-EU Summit the 9th General Meeting of the EU-Russia Industrialists Round Table (IRT) has taken place today in Lisbon.

Attending the Meeting was a Gazprom delegation chaired by Stanislav Tsygankov, Head of the Gazprom Foreign Economic Relations Department, who reported at the meeting of the Task Force on Oil, Gas and Power Generation.

Within the meeting, Stanislav Tsygankov addressed current results of cooperation between Gazprom and EU countries as well as proposals on further liberalization of the European gas market.

Special attention of the participants was paid to fundamental differences between power generation and gas markets as well as the problems that Europe might face while investing in the transport infrastructure in terms of the legal uncertainty currently existing in the region.
