Moscow, 29 March 2005. At its regular meeting held today, the Valuation Committee under the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" discussed and resolved to recommend that the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" approve the proposed amendments and additions to the Methodology for Valuation of the Business and Assets of OAO RAO "UES of Russia" and its SDCs developed by Deloitte & Touche.

The amendments and additions to the Methodology are planned to be considered at the April meeting of the Board of Directors.

Also, the Committee approved the additions to the Handbook on Aggregating the Replacement Costs of TPPs developed by KO-INVEST. The Committee recommends the new version of the Handbook by appraisal firms in the valuation of assets of RAO "UES of Russia" and its SDCs in the course of the sector reform.

Having considered the item "On the Results of the Examination by the United Expert Council of Reports Prepared by OOO "Business-Expert LTD", the Committee decided to cancel the accreditation of OOO "Business-Expert LTD".
