OJSC CenterTelecom goes public on MICE

On December 25th the stock market section of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange will begin to start trading 01 series interest-bearing bonds payable to bearer, issued by OJSC Central Telecommunications Company (CenterTelecom). 

An issue report on series 01 interest-bearing bonds payable to bearer was registered with the Federal Securities Committee on December 10, 2001.

The total volume of the bond issue was 600,000 units with a par value of Rub 1,000 each.  The bonds will be in circulation for a period of two years, during which five yields are to be paid out.  The maturity term for the first two coupons is three months and six months for the other three. 

The first coupon carries a 22% annual yield.  The bonds issued by OJSC CenterTelecom were placed on MICEX on November 16, 2001.  The date of payment for yield on the first bond and execution of irrevocable offer by the issuer is February 19, 2002. 

The Underwriters for the issue are: ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria, arranger, AKB Moscow Business World (MDM Bank), co-arranger and financial consultant, Troika Dialog investment company, co-organizer.  The largest shareholders of the issuer, OJSC Svayinvest, was coordinator of the project to issue shares of OJSC CenterTelecom.

Members of the underwriters' syndicate will act as market makers on the secondary market for OJSC CenterTelecom's shares. 

The open joint stock company Central Telecommunications Company (former OJSC Elektrosvyaz, Moscow Region is one of the largest regional telecom operators in Russia.  A mega-regional telecommunications company is to be created on the basis of a merger uniting 17 regional operators in the Central and Central black earth area of Russia.
