Ekaterinburg. After the complex testing the unit was included in the steam main, after it reached the rated load. Gas allows to increase the boiler capacity on 5-10%.

Reconstruction of the drive circuit of the boiler allowed to use on it the automatic system of control of mechanical processes. But the main innovation is design-new certificated gas-fired burners, more economical and effective. They were designed on demand of powermen by specialists of Engineering centre and thermotechnical service of TGC-9 in Sverdlovsk region and made by workers of Sverdlovsk energy service company. Automation works were executed by the Moscow company “NVT- automatics”.

Powermen of Artyomovsky systematically reconstruct the production. In 2005 they transferred boiler No.3 from solid fuel to gas fuel. In November of 2006 they transferred the fourth boiler from coal to gas. Now three of four boilers of the station allow using both coal and gas. It makes quick transfer from one kind of fuel to the other possible. During the period of maximum low temperatures they guarantee regular work during big heat loads and, vice-versa, in summer they can remain minimal.

Thus, both powermen and consumers get certain advantages. Powermen will manage to reduce considerably storing, preparation costs and costs for fuel transportation (gas is supplied from the gas conduit that is situated in immediate proximity to the territory of HPP). Thanks to modern engineering solutions, automation of operational processes the costs of work of an electric power station will be cut down considerably, its ecological, technical and economic indexes will improve. Consumers got additional guarantees of reliable and regular energy supply.

For the next year they plan to transfer the last boiler to gas and the whole enterprise will be reequipped to the possibility of using of this kind of fuel.
